Hi my name is Marcella.I have started this for others to share their stories about everyday struggles.I want to hear from the working poor because I like to remind myself that there are people out there who are worse off than I am.
Here Is My Story:
My husband works very hard to take care of me and our five children.I had worked for 15 years until becoming to ill to work.My husband works a twelve hour a day factory job and as much over-time as possible. We get caught back up on our mortgage only to fall behind again. There is little or no money left over to buy groceries or anything else.We do try to stock our freezer with deer meat and freeze vegitables from our garden. This helps a little. We still have high hopes of winning the lottery one day and being able to send our children to college.Three of our 5 children are on the honor roll. Two have not started school yet.I would love to go out and eat sometimes and do the things other families do but there is no money for that.Right now I must be thankful that we have a place to live and that the children are healthy.
December 12,2007 -Last night I had to open several cans of Beanie Weenies and heat them on the stove to eat for dinner. This morning I ate stale cereal for breakfast.I will have to resort to snatching up some roadkill to feed my family soon.
My symptoms:
I have severe muscle and joint pain.I bruise easily. My neck and shoulders hurt a great deal.I have headaches most of the time.I feel like I am eighty years old. What could be wrong with me?Is it physical and mental?I use to be active.I use to run track,cross-country,and ride my unicycle.Where do I start?Who can I go to for help?
